Macintosh Performa 5210CD
The Macintosh Performa 5210CD is a model of Apple's Performa 5200 series, an all-in-one Macintosh with a 75 MHz PowerPC 603 and a built-in 15-inch monitor.[1] Apple's technical specifications say it was not sold in the US and list J-7.5.1, the Japanese edition of System 7.5.1, as its original system software.[1] EveryMac says it was sold in Asia and Europe, gives the order number M3970J/A and a discontinuation date of July 1, 1996.[2] Apple's figures for it are those of the Performa 5200CD with a 500 MB hard drive and a 4× CD-ROM drive, and Apple notes that some systems have 8-bit sound.[1]
Specifications
[edit | edit source]Apple's technical specifications give a PowerPC 603 at 75 MHz on a 37.5 MHz bus, 16 KB level 1 and 256 KB level 2 cache, 8 MB of RAM expandable to 64 MB in two 72-pin SIMM sockets (80 ns), a 1 MB DRAM frame buffer, 4 MB of ROM, a 500 MB IDE hard drive and a 4× CD-ROM drive.[1] The supply is rated at 125 W; Apple's battery entry is "4.5V alkaline".[1] The Power Macintosh/Performa 5200 and 5300 Service Source covers the hardware, and the full specification is on Macintosh Performa 5200CD.[3]
