== Three figures worth reading carefully ==

'''The line input is 100–120 VAC, not 100–240.''' The 100–240 VAC figure in this volume belongs to
the '''switched output receptacle''' on the back of the machine, which powers the monitor. A
220–240 V machine is a different supply and its primary-side capacitors are not interchangeable
with a 110 V one. Several pages on this wiki previously gave the outlet's rating as the machine's
input.

'''There are three power numbers, not one.''' 200 W at the A/C input, 3 A at the outlet, 112 W of DC
output. A "230 W" rating quoted for these machines is the '''Macintosh IIfx''' figure.

'''The battery threshold is 2.8 V.''' That is the IIcx / IIci / IIvi / IIvx / Quadra 700 / SE /
SE-30 figure. The Classic and LC families are 3.0 V and the Macintosh II, IIx, IIfx, Centris and
larger Quadras are 3.2 V; these get transplanted between machines.

== What this volume does not contain ==

'''There is no Adjustments chapter''', so Apple publishes '''no rail tolerance and no power-supply
adjustment''' for these machines. The "+5 V 4.85–5.15 V / +12 V 11.90–12.75 V" pair that circulates
on this wiki is Apple's '''Macintosh Plus and 128K/512K''' procedure, measured at the external
drive port with voltage test cable '''077-0135'''. It does not apply here.

There is also no component-level parts list and no schematic; the cures in its Troubleshooting
chapter are at module level.
