Summary

[edit | edit source]

Top view of an Acorn Archimedes A410/1 main board, the Acorn Universal Board (283,000) used in all 400/1 models. Port connectors are along the bottom edge (two BNC sockets, analogue RGB, serial, audio and printer), the four RISC OS ROMs and VLSI VIDC, IOC, MEMC and ARM chips across the middle, the 96-way backplane connector to the left of centre and the DRAM at the top. The board carries the sticker "PC- -1260"; Chris's Acorns lists that board as issue 2, in an A410/1 with an 8 MHz VLSI ARM2.
