Summary

[edit | edit source]

Several dipped tantalum through-hole capacitors removed from a Heathkit oscilloscope after failing short circuit. The short damaged upstream regulation parts, including the resistors of a Zener shunt regulator (upper right). The capacitors show little outward sign of failure. Used on Capacitor Failure Symptoms.
