== Architecture == The Atom used a single double-sided PCB (part 202,000) with the 6502 running at 1 MHz and memory-mapped I/O. The system ROM held the Machine Operating System and Atom BASIC; the BASIC interpreter included an in-line 6502 assembler, which was unusual for the period.<ref name="wp" /> === Memory map === {| class="wikitable styled-table" style="width:70%; text-align:left;" |+'''Acorn Atom memory map''' !
