== Successor Models == In May/July 1989, the A440 was replaced by the A440/1, which included the MEMC1a memory controller giving about 10% performance improvement . The A440/1 cost ยฃ2,499 excluding VAT and came with a 50-53 MB ST506 hard disc . The A410/1 cost ยฃ1,199, the A420/1 ยฃ1,699, and the A440/1 ยฃ2,499, all excluding VAT .
