The Macintosh TV is notable for its distinctive '''black''' enclosure, making it the first black desktop Macintosh sold in North America (and second only to the [[Macintosh Portable]] backlit model globally). The complete package included:

* Grey CD-ROM drive tray (an often-noted aesthetic inconsistency)
