The files name several people. None of this establishes who employed whom, and the list below records only what the files say.

* The tree's CVS metadata names the account <code>petern@psiondev.com</code>, and every file in the archive that carried the tree is owned by a user called <code>peter</code>.<ref name="oe-tree" />
* <code>setup.sh</code> carries the line "customised for netbook project by Robert McQueen <rob@aleph1.co.uk>".<ref name="oe-meta" />
* The AbiWord recipes name Alex Loveday at a <code>psion.com</code> address as maintainer. The rdesktop, grdesktop, LinNeighborhood, Gaby and VNC recipes name Peter Naulls. Many GPE recipes keep the maintainer names of the upstream OpenEmbedded recipes they were copied from, such as Phil Blundell and Florian Boor.<ref name="oe-tree" />
* The NAND installer script <code>NBLXLoad-cook.sh</code> carries the CVS identifier <code>$Id: NBLXLoad-cook.sh,v 1.8 2004/09/24 10:16:42 wookey Exp $</code>.<ref name="hpcf-eddie-0710-30" />
* The netBook-specific drivers in Psion's own kernel image announce themselves as "(c) 2004 Simtec Electronics": the battery monitor, keyboard driver, power manager, SPI driver, NAND driver, Epson S1D13XXX framebuffer driver and Ricoh RTC driver. The later machine support file <code>arch/arm/mach-pxa/netbookpro.c</code> names Ben Dooks of Simtec Electronics as author.<ref name="kernel-strings" /><ref name="oe-classic" />
* The kernel image that matches the lost root filesystem was built by <code>autobuild@nexus</code>.<ref name="kernel-strings" />

In July 2006 a forum member wrote that "Psion contracted out development of a Linux distro, but decided not to release it", without giving a source.<ref name="hpcf-rocketman" />
