The Falcon shipped with TOS 4.01 or 4.02 in ROM. Later units and C-Lab versions use TOS 4.04. TOS 4.0x includes support for the VIDEL, DSP, IDE, and other Falcon-specific hardware.

=== MultiTOS ===
Bundled on floppy disk (not in ROM), MultiTOS is based on MiNT (MiNT is Not TOS) and provides pre-emptive multitasking with adaptive prioritisation and inter-process communication. It was also forward-compatible with the 68040.
