What it settles

The fuse is not an Apple service part. Apple's replacement note specifies type MT4, 250 V 2 A, "available at most electronic stores". It is reached by removing the top case and rear panel.[3]

Do not fit an AppleCD 300 drive mechanism in an AppleCD 150 case: the SCSI-device-to-case cable will not connect correctly. Apple also says never to transport the drive with a disc or caddy inside.[4]

The symptom charts cover a green power light that is off (power supply, then drive mechanism), a drive that does not accept a disc, faulty headphone, volume or speaker jacks, and a Macintosh that cannot mount the drive (drive mechanism, power supply, SCSI-device-to-case cable, SCSI select switch, in that order).[5]
