Atari 600XL Field Service Manual

Atari's own field service manual for the Atari 600XL, Revision 1, document FD 10 06 10, October 1983. Section 1 gives the theory of operation with the 6502C, ANTIC, GTIA, POKEY and PIA pin assignments, the memory arrangement, the RF modulator characteristics, the power supply specification — +5 V DC ±2 %, 1.5 A maximum through a 7-pin DIN — and the SIO, keyboard, controller-jack, cartridge and Parallel Bus Interface pinouts. Section 2 covers the built-in Self Test and the full Super SALT suite screen by screen. Section 3 is Atari's symptom checklist by IC designator. Section 4 is disassembly and assembly. Section 5 carries the silkscreen and the complete 600XL parts list with reference designators, values and Atari part numbers.
