Macintosh C Programming Primer 1989

The page title is wrong in two ways. The document is Macintosh C Programming Primer, Volume II: Mastering the Toolbox Using THINK C by Dave Mark, Addison-Wesley Publishing Company, Inc., 511 pages. Its copyright page reads "Copyright © 1990 by Dave Mark" and this printing is the fourth printing, November 1991. ISBNs printed: 0-201-15662-8 and 0-201-57016-5.

It is neither a 1989 book nor Volume I. Cite it as Volume II, copyright 1990.

Three "Primer" pages, two different books

The three Macintosh C Programming Primer pages on this wiki do not hold three books:

• Macintosh C Programming Primer 1989 and Macintosh C Programming Primer 1990 both hold Volume II: Mastering the Toolbox Using THINK C, copyright 1990, ISBN 0-201-57016-5 - the same book at two different printings, 511 pages each.
• Macintosh C Programming Primer 1992 holds Volume I, Second Edition: Inside the Toolbox Using THINK C, copyright 1992, ISBN 0-201-60838-3.

Neither Volume II copy is a 1989 book, so the 1989 in one page title is wrong; and neither is Volume I, so a reference to "the Primer" without a volume number is ambiguous.

This is not a repair source

It is a programming book. It contains no service procedures, no exploded views, no parts lists, no schematics, no voltages and no component values, and nothing in it should be cited for a hardware figure. Apple's own repair documentation is in Category:Apple Service Source; for electrical data on a specific machine the Developer Notes are the place to look, because they carry rail currents, processor-direct-slot power budgets and connector pinouts that the Service Source manuals do not.
