Summary

[edit | edit source]

A failed Apple MacBook Pro battery. The lithium-polymer pouch cells inside have swollen so badly that they have forced the aluminium pack casing apart. Swelling means gas is being generated inside the cells; a pack in this condition must never be charged, punctured, crushed or carried loose. Used on the Battery Refurbishment guide.
