Atari Mega STE 1.44MB Floppy Drive Installation Manual

Atari's instructions for fitting the high-density floppy upgrade kit CA401229-001 to the Atari Mega STE, part number C302953-001 Rev A, 1991. The kit is the Ajax disk controller C302096-001 for location U405, a replacement PAL C301901-002 for UA2, a 2 MB drive C301371-001 and TOS 2.06 ROMs CA401187-001. The procedure includes the jumper from U7 pin 32 to UA2 pin 19 required on boards below Rev B, DIP switch S701 segment 7, the drive jumper settings and the warning that pin 1 of the interface cable is in the opposite position to the 720 KB drive.
