When used by itself:
- From a band name: This is a redirect from a musical band or musical group name that redirects to an article on a single person, i.e. the band or group leader.
- This template should not appear on a page solely with the name of a person who is a member of a group in its title that redirects to a band or group name. In that case, use {{R from member}} instead. If the redirected subtopic could potentially have its own article in the future, then also use {{R with possibilities}} and {{R printworthy}}. If independent notability of the subject can be shown, then be bold and convert this redirect into an article on the subtopic.
