What it settles

edit

The safety notes and chapter 1 give Amstrad's operating rules: a 3 A fuse in a 13 A plug, a 220–240 V 50 Hz supply, no running without the ribbon or paper, and removal of the print head stabiliser before first use. Chapter 1 also gives the ribbon fitting procedure and the self test (hold LF while switching on). Chapter 3 notes that holding LF and ON LINE at switch-on selects the NLQ-standard typeface.

What it does not contain

edit

There are no circuit diagrams, parts lists or repair procedures. Those are in the Amstrad DMP2000 / DMP3000 / DMP4000 Service Manual and the Amstrad DMP2000 Printer Service Manual (standalone).
