What this manual does not contain
[edit | edit source]No schematic and no component values. The Adjustments chapter covers geometry, focus and video; it prints no supply-rail voltages or tolerances.
Apple's earlier High-Res Monochrome Monitor Technical Procedures (May-June 1987) is also hosted, as File:Apple High-Res Monochrome Monitor Technical Procedures.pdf. It adds CRT safety and live-adjustment rules, CRT disposal, the AC inlet replacement, a separate illustrated parts list, and Apple's instruction not to touch the factory-set yoke, tilt, ring or geometry adjustments.[1]
A CRT holds a lethal charge on the anode after the mains is removed. Follow the CRT Discharge Procedure before working inside one; Apple's Take Apart procedures carry the same warning.
