Programming the 68000 Macintosh Assembly Language 1986

From RetroTechCollection

Programming the 68000: Macintosh Assembly Language is a 1986 book by Edwin Rosenzweig and Harland Harrison, published by Hayden Book Company of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. ISBN 0-8104-6310-5; Library of Congress QA76.8.M6895R67 1986, card number 86-3085. The scan is the first printing.[1] The Library of Congress record gives the extent as 399 pages and places it in the Hayden Macintosh Library.[2]

The book teaches 68000 assembly language on the Macintosh to readers who can already program in BASIC or Pascal. Its examples use Apple's Macintosh 68000 Development System (MDS) assembler, and an appendix covers the Lisa Workshop. It works through the twelve addressing modes and the instruction set, gives a programmer's view of the 68000 hardware, and ends with a complete sample application, SimpleCalc.[3]
