DECstation 3100 Documentation
DECstation 3100 Documentation describes the Digital Equipment Corporation documents for the DECstation 3100 and DECstation 2100, with the PDF of each.
DECstation 2100/3100 Operator's Guide (EK-302AB-OG-002)
[edit | edit source]DEC's owner's guide, order number EK-302AB-OG-002, September 1989. The scan has 169 pages.[1]
Contents: 1 basic hardware (system unit and the rear panel, Figure 1-2 and Table 1-1; monitors; keyboard; mouse and its cleaning on pp. 1-14 to 1-15); 2 hardware options (memory, storage, printers, modems); 3 using the hardware (turning on and off, the configuration display, console commands, booting); 4 tape drive; 5 compact disc drive; 6 RX23 diskette drive; 7 troubleshooting (the self-test and its subtests, Ethernet and SCSI checks, Table 7-1 solutions to common problems); 8 moving the workstation; appendices A equipment specifications (system unit on p. A-2), B part numbers, C console commands, D interpreting the self-test (monitor codes Table D-1 and LED codes Table D-2).[1]
It is a user's guide. It has no disassembly procedure, no power supply information and no component data; memory and internal drives are left to DEC service.[1]
