Apple Products Information Package - Astec Power Supplies (Apple Computer, Inc., originator Larry Sovulewski, 6 August 1982).

Apple's own service package for the Astec switch-mode supplies used in the Apple II, Apple III and ProFile III. Contains schematics, component layouts and full component listings for:

  • Astec AA11040 and AA11040/B (Apple II family)
  • Astec AA11190 (Apple III)
  • Astec AA11770, AA11770/A and AA11771 (ProFile III)

plus an Astec-to-Apple part number cross reference and Astec's "Notes on Power Supplies".

This is the source for the Apple II supply's real component values - including the 0.1 uF mains-side X capacitor, the 47 uF 250 V primary reservoir capacitors, the 2.75 A fuse, the 260 VAC varistor and the inrush thermistor - rather than the values that circulate in hobbyist recap lists.
