Apple Disk IIc Technical Procedures

The Disk IIc Technical Procedures are the Apple Disk IIc section of Apple's Apple Service Technical Procedures: Apple II Family, Volume Two (part number 072-0229, November 1991 build), where the volume contents call it "Disk IIc (IIc External Drive)". The section has 26 pages; its contents page is dated October 1989 and its sections were revised between October 1986 and October 1989.[1]

What it settles

  • The Disk IIc uses the Apple IIc drive mechanism (661-0264) and Apple IIc analog board (661-0265) (p. 4.3).
  • The read/write head cable has four wires on a five-pin connector, and the drive cable fits with its two unused positions at the front (pp. 1.5-1.6).
