Atari 1200XL Field Service Manual

Atari's own field service manual for the Atari 1200XL, Revision 01, February 1983. Section 1 gives the mechanical and electrical description with the 6502C, ANTIC, GTIA, POKEY and PIA pin assignments, the RF modulator, the machine's on-board linear power supply and its specification, and the SIO, keyboard, controller-jack, cartridge, monitor and LED-board interfaces. Sections 2 and 3 cover the Self Test and Super SALT testing. Section 4 is the symptom checklist, the adjustments — including the VR1 colour adjustment and the RF modulator adjustment — and console disassembly. Section 5 is the complete 1200XL parts list with reference designators, descriptions and Atari part numbers, including every capacitor and its type and the full U-number chip map.
