MicroVAX 3100 and VAXserver 3100 Owner's Manual (EK-A0371-OM-002)

DEC's owner's manual for the Model 10 and Model 20, August 1989, 197 pages with a text layer. Chapters: 1 the system and its configurations; 2 installation and first start-up, including system defaults and VMS factory-installed software; 3 storage devices (RZ23, TZ30, RX23); 4 expansion boxes (RRD40, RZ55, TK50Z); 5 networking; 6 handling problems: the troubleshooting table (Table 6-1), power-up error messages and self-test identifiers (Table 6-2), the configuration display (TEST 50), device information, the system exerciser, test utilities and service information. Appendices cover system parameters, SCSI IDs, options, specifications (appendix D), associated documents, removable media, backups and removing unwanted VMS files.

It is an owner's manual: there are no board or power supply schematics, and no removal procedures.

MicroVAX 3100 Model 85/95 Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Information (EK-A0719-TM)

DEC's troubleshooting booklet for the Model 85 and 95, June 1994 (revision B01), 56 pages with a text layer: the basic troubleshooting table (Table 1-1), diagnostic tests and commands with the test list, power-up error messages with worked examples of a failed communications test and a mismatched SIMM set, device mnemonics, and the status LED display (Figure 1-2).

MicroVAX 3100 Model 85/95 Customer Technical Information (EK-A0718-TI)

DEC's technical information booklet for the Model 85 and 95, June 1994 (revision B01), 74 pages: system description, console security and defaults, the console commands, and hardware specifications for the system unit (Table 4-1, including power) and the internal SCSI devices, with appendices on the communications options.

No DEC service manual or power supply print set for the MicroVAX 3100 was found there; the VAXstation 3100 maintenance guide (EK-285AA-MG), for the related workstation in the same enclosures, is in the same directory.
