Ultimate Mac Programming 1994
Ultimate Mac Programming is a 1994 book by Dave Mark, published by Programmers Press, a division of IDG Books Worldwide, Foster City, California; first printing December 1994. Library of Congress card number 94-072744.[1] The ISBN is 1-56884-195-7, as printed on the back cover and in the Library of Congress record; the copyright page misprints it as 1-56884-215-5.[1][2][3] The Library of Congress record gives the extent as xiv, 575 pages.[3]
It is an intermediate-level book on Macintosh system programming topics of the mid-1990s: Apple events, the Open Scripting Architecture and the Object Model, the Scriptable Finder, the Sound Manager, patching traps on 68K and PowerPC, resources, QuickTime and the Drag Manager. Mark, then the "Getting Started" columnist for MacTech, credits Donald Olson, Greg Anderson, Jim Reekes, Jorg Brown and Doug McKenna with the technical content of individual chapters.[4] It came with a CD holding a limited version of Metrowerks CodeWarrior and the book's code; the CD is not part of the scan.[5]
