Using the Macintosh Toolbox with C 2nd Edition 1989

From RetroTechCollection

Using the Macintosh Toolbox with C, second edition, is a book by Fred A. Huxham, David Burnard and Jim Takatsuka, published by SYBEX in 1989. The first edition was published in 1986. ISBN 0-89588-572-7, Library of Congress card number 89-62280.[1] The Library of Congress record gives the extent as xxix, 525 pages.[2] The acknowledgements thank Steve Rimmer for preparing the revision.[3]

The introduction presents it as a tutorial for C programmers, because the Toolbox was designed for Pascal and Inside Macintosh describes it in Pascal terms. The second edition is based on THINK C. Each chapter covers one part of the user interface with its data structures and Toolbox routines, and several chapters end with a complete sample program.[4] The inside covers carry a "Macintosh Quick Toolbox Reference" listing the C declarations of the QuickDraw, Window, Control and Menu Manager routines.[5]
