The '''GX4000 User Instructions''' are Amstrad plc's owner's booklet for the [[Amstrad GX4000]] games console, © 1990, written by Sue Maybee with drawings by Gray J Webber. The cover is printed in four languages (''User Instructions / Manual del usuario / Manuale d'uso / Manuel de l'utilisateur'') and carries the codes 2630101B and 616Z001-40993. A sticker on the cover reads "Important: connect DC plug into GX4000 console before plugging AC adapter into AC supply." The hosted scan has 22 PDF pages, most of them two-page spreads, and no text layer.

== What it settles ==

The booklet is the source for Amstrad's owner instructions on power and cartridges: connect the DC plug before the mains, use only the supplied adaptor or the power lead of an MM12 or CM14 monitor, and switch off with the power/interlock switch before inserting or removing a cartridge. It gives the RF output as about channel 36 and says the rear sound switch is the first thing to change when a television gives no game sound. Its pinout page notes that pin 9 on the second paddle socket is not COM2.

There are no circuit diagrams, parts lists or adjustment procedures. Those are in the GX4000 section of Amstrad's service manual, at [[Amstrad GX4000 Service Manual]] and [[Amstrad 464 Plus / 6128 Plus / GX4000 Service Manual]]. Instructions for individual games were printed separately.
