Documentation for the Atari 2600 Jr. Atari's 2600 field service manual covers the CX2600 and CX2600A only. The two documents below are the Jr.'s owner's leaflet and a schematic of a PAL Jr. board redrawn by Jerzy Sobola. == Atari 2600 owner's leaflet (C026260-001) == The leaflet packed with the 2600 Jr., Atari part number C026260-001, copyright 1986 Atari Corp., printed in Taiwan; the hosted scan is a 1987 printing of four pages. It lists the box contents (console, one joystick, AC power adaptor, TV/game switch box and video cable) and gives ten installation steps: fitting the switch box for twin-lead or coaxial aerials, connecting the video cable and adaptor, setting the channel selector to 2 or 3 and the TV TYPE switch, plugging the joystick into the left port, and switching on. Care notes cover switching off before changing cartridges, heat, liquids, using only the 2600 adaptor and cleaning the case. It has no technical information. === Pages that cite this document === * Atari 2600 Jr: power adaptor and controls * Atari 2600 Jr General Maintenance: care notes and controls * Atari 2600 Jr Troubleshooting Guide: adaptor and channel selector <pdf width="800" height="500">File:Atari 2600 Jr Owner's Manual C026260-001.pdf</pdf> Download: Atari 2600 Jr Owner's Manual C026260-001.pdf == PAL 2600 Jr. motherboard schematic (Jerzy Sobola) == Sheet 1 of 2 of a schematic redrawn by Jerzy Sobola, titled "Motherboard C012283 rev. B, Atari 2600 Game Console" and dated 8 September 2000. It shows the whole PAL board: the power jack, reservoir, power switch and 7805 regulator; the 6507 (A2), 6532 (A1) and PAL TIA (A3); the 4050 (A4) used for the video buffers and the reset circuit; the controller ports, switches and the J6 button connector; the PAL colour circuit with its 4.43 MHz crystal; and the LM3086 modulator (A5) with the sound oscillator around Q4. === What it does not contain === * Sheet 2, which was not found. * Capacitor voltage ratings or a parts list. * The NTSC board.
