Wikipedia's list of DECpc models gives its processor as a 25 MHz 80386SL, its screen as a 10-inch monochrome passive-matrix LCD, and its maker as PTCC, the company that also built the [[DECpc 320P]].<ref name="wp" /> InfoWorld reviewed it in November 1992 under the headline "Notebook from DEC is a battery miser".<ref name="wp" /> == Identification == The rating label on the underside gives:<ref name="label" /> * Model PCP12, with the number 582DC1 above "Notebook Computer". * FCC ID ACJ9TG25-3573. The DECpc 320P's is ACJ9TG25-3572, the next number in the same series.<ref name="label320" /> * DC input 22.8 V at 0.88 A, from a certified Class 2 supply. * Assembled in the USA. The Maynard Historical Society's example measures 2 Γ 8.5 Γ 11.5 inches; the society dates it to about 1991.<ref name="mhs" /> The keyboard has a trackball with two buttons between the keys and the screen hinge, and its function keys carry Fn legends in blue like those on the DECpc 320P.<ref name="mhsphoto" /> == Documentation == Bitsavers, archive.org and the Manx catalogue list no DEC user guide, technical reference or service manual for the DECpc 325P. The 386SL notebooks that DEC sold under the names DECpc 325SL and 325SLC came from a different maker, AST Research, so their manuals do not apply.<ref name="wp" /> == Related pages == * [[DECpc 320P]] * [[DECpc 325]] == Gallery == <gallery mode="packed" heights="200"> File:DECpc 325P rating label (Maynard Historical Society).jpg|DECpc 325P rating label: PCP12, FCC ID ACJ9TG25-3573, DC in 22.8 V 0.88 A </gallery> == References == <references> <ref name="wp">"DECpc", ''Wikipedia'', laptop table, retrieved 1 October 2026, [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DECpc en.wikipedia.org]. 325P: 80386SL, 25 MHz, passive-matrix monochrome 10-inch LCD, PTCC, November 1992, citing Jayne Wilson, "Notebook from DEC is a battery miser", ''InfoWorld'', 9 November 1992, p. 40; 325SL and 325SLC by AST Research.</ref> <ref name="mhs">Maynard Historical Society Archives, "DECpc 325p Notebook Computer Digital Equipment Corporation", item 2023.55, type PCP12, [https://collection.maynardhistory.org/items/show/8845 collection.maynardhistory.org].</ref> <ref name="mhsphoto">Maynard Historical Society, item 2023.55, front photograph ([[:File:DECpc 325P (Maynard Historical Society).jpg]]).</ref> <ref name="label">Maynard Historical Society, item 2023.55, rating label photograph ([[:File:DECpc 325P rating label (Maynard Historical Society).jpg]]).</ref> <ref name="label320">Maynard Historical Society, item 2023.52 (DECpc 320p), rating label photograph ([[:File:DECpc 320P rating label (Maynard Historical Society).jpg]]).</ref> </references> [[Category:Digital Equipment Corporation]]
