The coprocessor socket is a PLCC socket for a 68882; no FPU is fitted as standard.<ref name="apple" /><ref name="dn" /> With the on-board 512 KB of VRAM the machine shows 256 colours at 640 × 480 and 832 × 624; with 768 KB it shows thousands. A 512K VRAM SIMM fits the socket, but only 256K of it is used.<ref name="apple" /> The processor-direct slot has a power budget of 4 W.<ref name="dn" />

The PRAM battery is a 3.6&nbsp;V lithium cell, Apple part 742-0011; Apple says to replace it below 3.0&nbsp;V. The power supply is part 661-1733, shared with the whole LC family.<ref name="apple" /><ref name="ss4" />

== Known faults ==
* Leaking surface-mount electrolytic capacitors on the logic board and in the power supply. The board list is on [[Macintosh LC III+ Capacitor Replacement Guide]].
* C22 on the LC III logic board, the 47&nbsp;µF capacitor on the −5&nbsp;V rail, is printed and fitted the wrong way round at the factory. Doug Brown's article treats the Performa 460, 466 and 467 as the same design.
