The ThinkPad R32 Series Hardware Maintenance Manual is IBM's service manual for the ThinkPad R32, First Edition (November 2002), 248 pages. Its page footers give machine type 2658. No part number is printed in the scan.

What this manual does not contain
[edit | edit source]The manual works at FRU level. It has no schematics and no component values, and a system board is a single part number. The only capacitor it mentions is the "bulging capacitor" hazard in the safety inspection guide.
What it settles
[edit | edit source]The power systems checkout (pp. 36-38) gives the battery pack as +0 to +16.8 V between terminals 1 and 6, discharged if below +14.4 V dc, and 4 to 30 kΩ between terminals 5 and 6 if above it.
