The Macintosh Performa 5320CD is an all-in-one personal computer manufactured by Apple Computer, Inc., introduced on November 1, 1995.[1] It is an upgraded variant of the Performa 5300CD with a faster 120 MHz processor and pre-installed TV/video input and output cards.
This model was sold only in Europe and Asia. It shares the same "Cordyceps" logic board as the Performa 5300CD but with the TV and video expansion slots pre-populated.
Differences from Performa 5300CD
The Performa 5320CD differs from the Performa 5300CD in the following ways:
- CPU Speed: 120 MHz (vs 100 MHz)
- TV/Video: Pre-installed TV tuner and video input/output cards
- L2 Cache: 256 KB included (vs optional on 5300CD)
- Market: Europe and Asia only
Architecture and Processor
The Performa 5320CD uses the PowerPC 603e processor running at 120 MHz with a 40 MHz system bus. The 603e is a 32-bit processor with a 64-bit data path, though the memory subsystem operates at 32-bit width due to the LC-derived architecture.
