Apple IIe Reference Manual
The Apple II Reference Manual - For //e Only (Apple Computer, Inc., 1982; Apple part number 030-0357-B) is Apple's own hardware reference for the Apple IIe. It is the primary source for the IIe figures used on this wiki.

edit- Power supply, Table 7-2 - line voltage 107 to 132 V AC; maximum power consumption 60 W continuous and 80 W intermittent (Apple's note: up to twenty minutes at the higher load if followed by at least ten minutes at normal load); supply voltages +5 V ±3%, +11.8 V ±6%, −5.2 V ±10%, −12 V ±10%; maximum supply currents +5 V 2.5 A, +12 V 1.5 A continuous and 2.5 A intermittent, −5 V 250 mA, −12 V 250 mA; maximum case temperature 55 °C. This is the only Apple II family manual on this wiki that publishes per-rail tolerance bands; the 1979 Apple II Reference Manual gives nominals only.
- Apple's warning that operating a IIe from a source above 140 volts will damage the power supply.
- The supply's self-protection: all four outputs are switched off if any output is shorted to ground, if the supply cable is disconnected, or if any output goes outside its normal range.
- The single-wire shift-key modification - solder across the broken circle marked X6; early boards whose part number ends in A have it already made. Apple's warning that a hand control using switches will short-circuit and shut the supply down if a switch is closed while SHIFT is held.
