Facts frequently needed on this wiki and sourced from it:

  • The 5160 power supply — 130 watts continuous, two supplies (120 V AC and 220/240 V AC), both fused, automatic shutdown on DC overcurrent or overvoltage, roughly 2 to 4 A of +5 V taken by the system board leaving about 11 A for the expansion slots, and what each rail is actually used for.
  • The XT/370 — an extended 5160 with 256 KB on the system board, the PC/370-P processor card in expansion slot 4 and the PC/370-M 512 KB memory card in expansion slot 3, with the PC/3277-EM card on older models. The model chart identifies the XT/370 as 5160 Models 568, 588 and 589.
  • The 3270 PC family — the system unit and display combinations for each model, the statement that the 5371 System Unit is based on a 5160 System Unit, and the parts-catalogue note that all base system parts for the 3270 XT products are the same as 5160 XT base system parts.
  • Power topology of the graphics workstations — the 5278 Display Attachment Unit is powered from the 5279 display, and the 5379 display is powered from the 5378 Display Attachment Unit.
