From RetroTechCollection

Advanced Macintosh BASIC Programming is a 1985 book by Philip Calippe, published by COMPUTE! Publications of Greensboro, North Carolina, ISBN 0-87455-030-0.[1] It is a tutorial and reference for Microsoft BASIC 2.0 on the Macintosh. The book first covers the Macintosh-specific commands of Microsoft BASIC, then uses them to build a set of subroutine "tools" and larger programming utilities, and ends with an arcade game written to demonstrate event handling.[2] The Library of Congress catalogue record gives the extent as viii, 309 pages.[3] The programs were also sold on a companion disk, ordered with the coupon at the back of the book.[4]

What this book does not contain

[edit | edit source]

It is a programming book. It has no service procedures, parts lists, schematics or electrical data for the Macintosh; Apple's repair documentation is in Category:Apple Service Source. The hosted scan runs from the title page to the back cover but leaves out the blank pages, so the PDF has 301 pages against the book's printed numbering.
