Introduction to Macintosh Basic 1984
Introduction to Macintosh BASIC is a 1984 book by Scot Kamins, published by Hayden Book Company (a division of Hayden Publishing Company, Inc.) of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and Berkeley, California, ISBN 0-8104-6550-7 (Library of Congress QA76.8.M3K36 1984, card number 84-15837). It carries Apple's "Apple Press" endorsement.[1] The Library of Congress record gives the extent as xxiii, 357 pages.[2]
It is a hands-on tutorial for people who have never programmed, written for Apple's own Macintosh BASIC ("MacBASIC"), not Microsoft BASIC. Kamins credits Donn Denman as the creator of Macintosh BASIC, and Chris Espinosa, then manager of Macintosh User Education, for encouraging the book.[3]
