Amiga 1200 Schematics
Two scans of Commodore's main board schematic for the Amiga 1200 are hosted here. Both carry the title block "A1200 REV 1->1D PCB" and drawing number 364717, and both are 1992 documents with no text layer.
The System Schematics Service Addendum, A1200 is Commodore Business Machines Technology Group's service issue: a cover and the 13 schematic sheets reduced to A4, 14 PDF pages. The second file is a large-format scan of the same schematic, easier to read at full size. It has 27 PDF pages; the directory sheet and the schematic sheets are on PDF pages 1-16, and pages 17-27 repeat the first eleven.
Contents
[edit | edit source]The first sheet is a directory: a table of jumpers, the connector list, a signal glossary, the key components table and the revision history. The other twelve sheets are the circuit, each titled and numbered "sheet n of 13".
What it settles
[edit | edit source]- Sheet 6 of 13 (PDF p. 10 of the large-format scan): C307 is 470 µF on Paula's supply after R309; C306 is 10 µF on the audio reference AVREF, and C305 beside it is 0.22 µF, not an electrolytic. On the same sheet C408 is 1000 µF between VCC and the video supply +VID, C407 is 10 µF and C409 is 100 µF at the video DAC.
- The audio output sheet (PDF p. 9 of the large-format scan) draws C334, the coupling capacitor between the right-channel LF347 stage and the RCA jack, as "22UF-NP", a non-polarised part. C324 in the left channel is drawn the same way, feeding R324 and the left jack CN4.
- A note on sheet 6: "As of Rev 1C, logic and video ground and power are the same net, but rerouted discretely except at DAC1", and C30C and C30D were added for DAC decoupling.
What it does not contain
[edit | edit source]- A parts list. Values are printed on the sheets, but voltage ratings are not.
- Board revisions 2B and later.
- Any troubleshooting material.
