Amiga 2000 System Schematics (314135-01)

The System Schematics A2000 is Commodore's service document for the Amiga 2000, part number PN-314135-01, dated August 1990, in the International Edition produced by Commodore International Spare Parts GmbH, Braunschweig. The scan has 54 PDF pages with an OCR text layer. Its main board section covers PCB assembly #312720-01. The parts list states no board revision; it lists 32 DRAMs of 256K × 1 at U501-U532 and the 8370 or 8371 Fat Agnus. The Rev. 6 board has its own document, Amiga 2000 Revision 6 System Schematics (314135-02).

The table of contents lists three sections: I, A2000 PCB assembly (printed p. 1); II, A2052 RAM board assembly (p. 17); III, A2088 XT bridge board (p. 22).

What it settles

  • The chip positions on the 312720-01 board: 68000 at U100, Fat Agnus 8370 (NTSC) or 8371 (PAL) at U101, Gary 5719 at U102, Paula 8364 at U200, Denise 8362 at U201, the 8520 CIAs at U300 and U301, Kickstart V1.2 ROM at U500, Buster at U800 and the OKI MSM6242B clock at U801 (PDF p. 8).
  • The clock battery: BT800, "battery NiCad 3.6V 60mAH", Commodore part 380393-01, the same part number as the battery on the A500's A501 expansion (PDF p. 9).
  • The electrolytic capacitors on this board (PDF p. 9): 4.7 µF 35 V at C224, C415 and C811; 22 µF 35 V at C233, C243, C317, C318, C701, C813 and C814; 47 µF 16 V radial at C222, C223, C402, C404-C406, C408, C410 and C412, with an axial 47 µF 16 V part also listed for C402; 100 µF 16 V at C400; 470 µF 16 V radial at C214, C225, C226 and C912; 470 µF 16 V axial at C416-C419.
