The A600 System Schematics is Commodore's service document for the Amiga 600, part number PN-400422-02, dated April 1992. This copy is the International Edition from Commodore International Spare Parts GmbH, Braunschweig. The scan has 39 PDF pages and no text layer.

What it settles

  • The chip positions and Commodore part numbers on the key components table: 68000 at U1, 8375 ECS Agnus at U2, 8364 Paula at U3, 8373 ECS Denise at U4, the Gayle gate array (4145-20) at U5, the ROM at U6, the 8520 CIAs at U7 and U8, the Sony CXA1145 video encoder at U12, the 6570-30 keyboard microcontroller at U13 and the NE555 reset timer at U14 (PDF p. 5).
  • The electrolytic capacitors and their ratings, which community recap lists otherwise have to guess: 10 µF 25 V at C214, C306, C460 and C612; 22 µF 25 V at C303, C304, C324, C334 and C459; 47 µF 16 V at C821 and C822; 100 µF 6.3 V at C235, C236, C239 and C409 (printed ".63V"); 1000 µF 10 V at C408 and C811; 470 µF 16 V at C237 and C307 (PDF p. 13).
  • The power supply part numbers: 391029-01 (UL/CSA 110 V), -02 (BSI 240 V), -03 (VDE 220 V), -04 (SEV 220 V) and -05 (SAA 220 V) (PDF p. 10).
  • Commodore's description of the machine: 7.16 MHz 68000 (NTSC) or 7.09 MHz (PAL), 512 KB or 1 MB internal memory expandable with the A601, a 512 KB Kickstart ROM, PCMCIA, a 2.5-inch IDE interface and composite and RF video (PDF p. 3).

What it does not contain

  • The power supply's circuit.
  • The board revision the schematic was drawn for is given only as schematic #315987 Rev. C; the document does not map it to the Rev. 1.x and 2.x board markings.
