Apple Color OneScanner 1200/30 Service Source
The Apple Color OneScanner 1200/30 volume of Apple's Service Source is a 97-page service manual for Apple's 30-bit flatbed SCSI scanner and its two options, the Automatic Document Feeder and the Transparent Media Adapter. The PDF's internal creation date reads 15 September 1956, which is impossible; the file belongs to the same distillation run as the rest of the 1995-1996 Service Source set and the date should not be quoted.

The Wiring Diagram in the Troubleshooting chapter is an exception to the usual Service Source pattern: it is an interconnect drawing showing which board each loom runs to, which is more than most of these manuals give. It is still not a schematic.
Unlocking the scanner is the first thing to check on a unit that will not scan: a transport lock left engaged looks exactly like a dead drive motor.
What this manual does not contain
[edit | edit source]No parts list with component values, no circuit schematic, no lamp or inverter specification, and no calibration data for the CCD. The symptom chart's cures are module replacements.
