An infobox shows a page's key specifications in a standard box at the top right. The RTC Wiki has five infobox templates. Pick the one that matches the subject.
Available infoboxes

The template also accepts released and releasedate for the release date, intro_price for the price and unitssold for units sold.

For every infobox except Infobox software, give the image as full file markup, [[File:Name.jpg|250px]], not a bare filename.
Infobox generator
[edit source]The Infobox Generator gadget builds computer and peripheral infoboxes from a form:
- Go to Special:BlankPage/InfoboxGenerator.
- Fill in the fields you need.
- Click Generate Infobox.
- Copy the wikitext and paste it into your article.
For Macintosh models, the Spec Importer can fill the fields from EveryMac. See RetroTechCollection:Tools.
Tips
[edit source]- Put the infobox first on the page, with no blank lines above it.
- The templates silently ignore any parameter they do not know. A misspelt field disappears without warning, and so does a
<ref>defined inside it. Check the field names above, and preview. - Link the predecessor and successor models.
- Leave a field blank if you do not know it. Do not write "Unknown" or "N/A".
- Figures in the infobox need citations like figures anywhere else. Put the ref inside a recognised field, or cite the same figure in the article text.
- Use units consistently: MHz, MB, KB, inches or millimetres.
