Microchild: Learning through LOGO
Microchild: Learning through LOGO is a book by Serafim Gascoigne on teaching children to program in LOGO, written for parents and teachers. It was first published in 1984 by the Higher and Further Education Division of Macmillan Publishers Ltd, London and Basingstoke, in the Macmillan Microcomputer Books series edited by Ian Birnbaum, ISBN 0-333-37450-9. The printed book runs to ix + 113 pages (the index ends on p. 113); the scan has 133 PDF pages including the covers.[1]
The book is not written for any one computer. Its Appendix 5 lists the LOGO implementations then available in the UK: Apple/LCSI LOGO for the Apple II, Atari LOGO (cartridge) for the Atari 400 and 800, Terrapin LOGO on disc for the Commodore 64 (from Commodore Business Machines UK), IBM LOGO for the IBM PC, RML LOGO for the Research Machines 380Z and 480Z, Sinclair LOGO on cassette for the 48K Spectrum, and Tandy LOGO for the TRS-80 Color Computer.[1]
