System Board Parts List (2 of 3)
Sheet 2 of Commodore's Main Logic Assembly Parts Cross Reference for the Commodore PET 2001 — the integrated circuits. Commodore Business Machines, Inc., Palo Alto, California, scanned at 400 dpi.
Commodore's own title for this document is Main Logic Assembly Parts Cross Reference, not "System Board Parts List". It lists every component on the PET's system board by reference designator, description and Commodore part number.
Sheet 2 is the IC cross-reference, and it is the useful sheet for anyone socket-testing a dead PET:

The RAM line is printed twice, once for the 6550 and once for the 2114, against the same eighteen positions — that is how Commodore expressed the difference between board assemblies 320008/320081 (6550) and 320132/320137 (2114). The two are not interchangeable.
The LM555 line is printed against "UDE9", which is not a valid single location; the main logic schematic places the timer at E9.
What this document does not cover
[edit | edit source]The PET 2001's power supply and monitor are a separate assembly with their own parts list — see Video Board Parts List (1 of 3). Nothing on this sheet is a voltage regulator, because the PET 2001 main logic board has none; it receives +5 V and +9 V unregulated from elsewhere in the machine.
