Searching the wiki
Tips for finding what you need

[edit source]

Use the search box at the top of every page. Type your query and press Enter or click the search icon.

  • Search looks at page titles and page text.
  • Results are ranked by relevance.
  • Matching page titles are suggested as you type. Pick one to go straight to that page.

Search tips

[edit source]

The wiki uses MediaWiki's standard search. It supports:

Technique Example What it does
Exact phrase "capacitor replacement" Finds pages with those words together, in that order
Word ending Amstr* Finds words that start with "Amstr"
Other namespaces Special:Search, then choose the namespaces under Advanced Searches Help, project, file or category pages as well as articles

Operators from Wikipedia's search, such as intitle:, insource: and prefix:, do not work here, and a minus sign does not reliably exclude a word. To list pages whose titles start with some text, use Special:PrefixIndex.

Special pages for finding content

[edit source]
Page What it shows
All pages Every page on the wiki, alphabetically
Pages by prefix Pages whose titles start with given text
All categories Every category
New pages Recently created articles
Recent changes Latest edits across the wiki
Wanted pages Pages that are linked but do not exist yet
File list Uploaded images and PDFs

Finding service manuals

[edit source]

Service manuals and schematics are grouped by manufacturer:

Each hosted manual has its own page describing what it contains. To search for a manual by title, include the word "manual" or "service" in the search, for example Quadra 900 service.
