Atari 1010 Cassette Recorder Field Service Manual
[edit | edit source]The 1010 Cassette Recorder Field Service Manual is Atari's service manual for the recorder, part number FD100223 Rev. 02, dated September 1983. The hosted scan has 63 pages, including the silkscreens and schematics of both versions.[1] It covers two different units, the 1010S (Sanyo) and the 1010C (Chelco), and tells the reader to identify them by the FCC ID on the base and the order of the PAUSE and STOP/EJ keys.

What this manual does not contain
[edit | edit source]- Belt dimensions. The parts lists give Atari part numbers for the belts; only the 1010C counter belt has a size (65 × 1 × 1).
- Capacitor and resistor values in the parts lists, which cover the mechanism, heads, switches, belts, semiconductors and test tapes.
- Any service bulletins; section 7 only describes the kinds of bulletin.

The Atari 1010 Program Recorder Owner's Guide
[edit | edit source]The Atari 1010 Program Recorder Owner's Guide (Atari, 1982) is the 16-page guide packed with the recorder. It covers connecting the recorder and adaptor, the keys and counter, loading with CLOAD, saving with CSAVE, protecting cassettes by breaking off the tabs, care of cassettes and cleaning the tape path. It contains no specifications or service information.
