Unlike National's one-piece models, it has a separate main unit and keyboard, with a numeric keypad on the keyboard.[1][2] It received a Good Design Award in 1984.[1]

Range

[edit | edit source]

The CF-3000 has no space inside for a floppy disk drive.[1] National's MSX1 range also included the one-piece CF-2700, CF-1200 and FS-1300, which share a case, and the CF-3300, which has a built-in floppy drive.[3]

Servicing

[edit | edit source]

The MSX Resource Center's page has photographs of the inside of the main unit and of the keyboard. No Matsushita service manual for the CF-3000 is among the MSX service manuals held by the MSX Archive.[1][4] For general advice on capacitors see Capacitor Failure Symptoms.
