The National FS-1300 is a one-piece MSX computer made by Matsushita and sold in Japan under the National brand in 1985, at ¥39,800 with a CF-2211 joystick in the box. It was part of National's "King Kong" range of MSX machines and followed the CF-1200 at a lower price.[1] It shares its case with the CF-2700 and CF-1200.[2] The MSX Resource Center describes it as the same machine as the CF-1200 or CF-2700 with more RAM.[1]

Servicing

[edit | edit source]

The FS-1300 has its power supply inside the case.[1] Panasonic's service manual for the export CF-2700, a machine in the same case, is held by the MSX Archive. The FS-1300 has more RAM than the CF-2700, so compare the board with the manual's board drawings and parts list before relying on any value from it.[3] For general advice on capacitors see Capacitor Failure Symptoms.
