The PowerBook 1400 Service Source is Apple Computer's module-level service manual for the PowerBook 1400 series: the PowerBook 1400c/117, /133 and /166 and the PowerBook 1400cs/117, /133 and /166. The hosted copy is a 236-page PDF with a text layer, created on 16 January 1998 with FrameMaker and Acrobat Distiller 2.1; its newest Hot Issues are dated February 1998.

What this manual does not contain

No schematics or component values, and no test for the power adapter. The configuration list describes the 1400cs/166 as having an active-matrix display, which contradicts the model name.
