  • It is the only document on this wiki that carries the B-3 and E boards. Pages 33 to 42 — the service reference diagrams, parts lists, board layouts and schematics 252278 (B-3) and 252312 (E) — exist in this edition and in neither 1985 edition. Every figure on Commodore 64C Capacitor Replacement Guide for the short board traces to the 250469-01 (E) parts list on page 40 and to schematic 252312.
  • Board identification comes before any parts list. Page 17 is what tells a reader which of the five assemblies is in front of them; a value taken from the wrong assembly's list is simply wrong, and the assemblies differ.
  • The 1985 editions do not supersede this one and are not superseded in content. Commodore 64 Service Manual (1985 Mar) and Commodore 64 Service Manual (1985 Sep) (both PN-314001-02) carry the same three early assemblies; this edition carries those three plus B-3 and E.
