The Power Macintosh 8100/WS 8150 Service Source is Apple's 130-page service manual for the Power Macintosh 8100/80, 8100/80AV, 8100/100, 8100/100AV and 8100/110 and the Workgroup Server 8150 and 8150/110. The PDF was created on 11 December 1995. Page numbers below are PDF pages.

It is module-level: Apple's specifications, symptom charts, take-apart procedures, upgrade procedures and an exploded view with part numbers. It has no schematics and no component values.

The Basics chapter prints the HDI-45 pinout (pp. 9–14) and an Apple RAID Software section for the Workgroup Server (p. 19). The upgrade chapter covers the 8100/80 logic board upgrade for the Quadra 800 and 840AV (the WS 8150 board upgrades an AWS 80) (p. 115), and two later kits: the Power Macintosh 8500 Upgrade for a Quadra 800, Quadra 840AV or Power Macintosh 8100, which excludes the drives and the processor card (p. 124), and the WorkGroup Server 8550/132 Upgrade for a WS 80, 8150/80 or 8150/110 (p. 126).

What this manual does not contain

  • No schematic, no parts list below module level, no component values.
  • No Adjustments chapter and no rail voltages.
