Psion Series 3c User Guide
The Psion Series 3c User Guide is Psion PLC's user manual for the Psion Series 3c: version 1.0, August 1996, part no. 6103-0107-01, in English.[1] The PDF has 430 pages. Printed page numbers are ten lower than PDF page numbers (printed p. 373 is PDF p. 383). The Internet Archive item it came from is titled "3c mx", but the document is the Series 3c guide.[1]
It is a user manual, not a service document. For a repairer it gives the care instructions, battery procedures, resets and Psion's specification for the 3c.

What it settles
[edit | edit source]The specification (printed pp. 373-374) is the source the wiki's Series 3c and 3mx pages use for these figures:[2]
- 165 × 85 × 22 mm, 275 g with batteries; 480 × 160 screen
- 2 MB ROM; 1 MB or 2 MB RAM; NEC V30H at 7.68 MHz
- Two AA alkaline cells, about 80 hours; a CR1620 lithium backup cell
- Optional mains adaptor, 10 V ± 10 % (9-11 V), 250 mA; approved models 1602-0001-02 (UK), 1602-0002-02 (Europe) and 1602-0014-01 (US)
- 58-key keyboard with 9 touch-sensitive application buttons
- 0-50 °C on internal batteries, 0-40 °C on the mains adaptor
- IrDA SIR infrared and RS-232 through the Link cable
It also gives Psion's battery rules: replace the backup cell within a week or two of the "Replace backup battery" message; never remove the main and backup batteries together; if both are low, replace the backup battery first, connecting a mains adaptor first if the main batteries are too low to switch on.[3]
What it does not contain
